Just wanted to shear some pictures taken by a Delta dealer to the factory. Some may be very interesting for thosse that like me do not have a FP factory round the corner.

Thanks.

I just looked at the page and some of the pic links didn't work. What I did get to see was great though.

I also found that some of the photos didn't work, but it was wonderful to see the ones that did work. Thanks for sharing your visit with us.

Thanks, Its always good to share, this is the way I am learning, just because others have sheared quite a lot with me and with anybody interested in learning...

I have just reloaded and all pictures are working. The full page may have almost 1M, so please be patient and finally it should load complete.

Gracias. That's a great photo-story.

Jopen - Thanks a lot. As a fan and owner of a few Delta pens, it was great to see hwo the pwns are made. Gives meaning to the term "fatto a mano" doesnt it?
Dudley
Must be a blast being there in person, even though some photos didnt work, the rest of them were great.

Jopen, all the pics worked perfectly for me. This was a fascinating insight into the nature of fountain pen manufacture. Much more of a craftsman's workshop than a factory - which I'm delighted to see!

Very nice. And what a great trip and tour that must have been for those lucky dealers!

Accidentally posted twice. Sorry about that!

It's not for that: it's because some links have an error in the last part of their code: "\" instead of "/", just before the image's name.
Some browsers read it correctly as well, others don't, therefore we don't see some pictures.

For seeing them, I copied and pasted the code in another window, correcting the mistake.. et voilą!
Jopen
Thanks Susanna... now the dificult part... just to get some time and fix all that!! The fault may have started when using a different page editor, I will keep a look to avoid future incompatibilities... blush.gif
Susanna
I told Delta about your review, and sent them the link; they were happy to see themselves in these pictures!

Thank you for this really interesting post. It is one of my dreams to go to Europe with the intent to visit some pen manufacturing facilities. This post has just added fuel to the desire.

Nice pictorial, its nice to see how the pens are assembled. We as collectors have to remember that companies like Delta are pretty small concerns in the grand scheme of things.

Thanks again, and thanks Susanna. I think that very small companies like this really do outstand due to the great passion and craftmanship they put on every pen they make with love and desire. This would be impossible to do in a monster factory or company. The same applies in nursing homes... this kind of work needs to have the knowledge, but without the soul and heart it does not achieve any good results.

More photos still are not showing than are showing with my latest I.E. browser. Mentioned in case you think you have fixed the links. sad.gif

I think you need to replace backslashes with forward slashes; ie change all occurrences of
CODE
deltavisita_archivos\image
to
CODE
deltavisita_archivos/image

The pictures are actually there ...

Apologies for the delay... I think page modifications are working now and all pictures should show without problems... or I hope so... blush.gif

What a GREAT pictorial! I have half a dozen Delta pens, and I love the tour - Thank you so much for sharing, and I am envious of your good fortune.

I was lucky enough to go on the Sheaffer tour that Sam from Pendemonium arranged a year and a half ago. There is a great deal of artistry in this "manufacturing" process.

Thanks again, and I have my blue 365 in my pocket today - inspired by your photos.
