Hi,

I have found the hard way that You can not aply unprotected pliers, even small ones, to nibs, particulary gold nibs.

One of my soennecken Praesident nibs is marked by pliers (small marks, but, well..., I know they are there sad.gif ).

From Your experience, can anyone advise if is there any way I can polish the nib without taking the pens apart ? What are the more adequate instruments and materials for the polishing ?

I'm sorry to have to break this to you, but taking out plier marks is more than just polishing can accomplish, and you can't do it without removing the nib from the pen.

OK. I was already afraid of that !!! One more for the hospital...
At least I have learned something even thinking about applying pliers in a pen !!
THANKS !!!
