Full Version: Eversharp Skyline question
The Fountain Pen Network > General Pen Topics > Repair Q&A
Bottom Line
I just bought an Eversharp Skyline on eBay. I've got bunches of pens (about 200)but other than a couple of Louey's this is the first time I've had an Eversharp. Nice size black pen with a green striped cap and black derby. It was a horrible picture and for $5.50 I thought I would take a chance. The pen cleaned up real nice and looks like a million bucks except the former owner chewed the clip. This was a first for me. I thought all former owners only chewed plastic! They put one set of teeth on the front where the top ring and clip meet and the other set on the metal in the back and chewed away.

So here is the question - Does anybody out there sell replacement clips for Skyline caps? Or, do I start seraching for another pen to use for spare parts? I'm not losing any sleep over $5.50 but the pen is really pretty and I'd like to put it right.

If I remember right, David Nishimura sells spare pen parts, and I think I saw an entire cap assembly, complete with clips for just a bit over $10. You could just replace the whole cap (they screw on) or cannibalize it for the clip smile.gif

If the nishimura tip does not work and You dont want to spend the money in another defected skyline with a good clip (my most recommended move), there are,, in the vintage market some brands making Skyline looking pens with similar clips - neverthe less this action only in a dispair situation sad.gif

Right, $20 or $25, depending on color of the derby:
