Thanks for the input. Do the same conditions apply for the order of pens from Tryphon as I see on the pen repair page? If customs officials break open the packages in transport and steal the merchandise, Tryphon is exempt from any obligation to the customer? I for one would love to order from this site but after having read that disclaimer, I can't see ordering anything.
I have always had excellent service the world over but have never purchased anything under such a stringent rule. Why won't the company "make good" especially if they know this sort of thing may occur?
We don't sell pens direct to the public. You have to order from one of our retailers. They ship overseas all the time.
We have the clause you saw in our pen repair page because we have been burned a few times in ways which were quite costly to us. Some Countries have a serious postal theft problem. We can ship by courier or by certified air parcel post, if the customer agrees to pay the cost. We can and will always provide, upon request, proof of shipment, even when using regular mail. After the goods are sent, we cannot be responsible if they do not arrive at destination. Most of the problems we have had occurred after the goods arrived in the Country of destination.
