Some questions re: pen repair:

1. Can anyone recommend a good pen repair person in Southeastern Pennsylvania, central New Jersey, Northern Delaware? I sent two pens to a recommended person on Internet and it's been months! Anyone doing mail order pen repair with a faster turnaround?

2. Where can I find ink sacs to do my own resacking? I need a packet of assorted sizes as I don't know which sizes I need. I have to section tool and can't wait to try it out!

3. I have a no name pen with a nice nib but the inside lever fill parts vanished before I found the pen in a flea market. Is there anyone reliable who can rebuild this nice-writing pen (I dipped it...) and make it work?

4. I have a couple of eyedropper pens having sections that wont come off. Is there a safe way of removing them that will prevent damage to the barrel and section?

This is a lot! I hope someone can help.

Dillon Ang in Rhode Island did a nib replacement repair job for me very quickly at a reasonable price. You can reach him via email.

Pen Sacs and all sorts of pen repair bits are available from Tryphon. Also the Pen Sac Company.

Most sections are friction-fit so you need to work it loose. Best to use a special section removal pliers. Tryphon has these, too. Some sections are shellacked so heat will melt the shellac but you need to be very careful.

Good luck,

i do not know any pen repairers in your area, but i have had a nib smoothed by deb kinney. she did a superb job for a very reasonable fee. go to www.penhero.com/debkinneymain/aboutdeb.htm. to read about her and get her e mail address. her turn around time, as i recall, is 2 weeks.

Dillon (aka Dillo) is also a Tryphon dealer. While asking about repairs you can buy some parts and/or pens from him.

Deb Kinney has quick turn around time. She just went on a two week vacation though.
