Hi guys,

I'm having an issue with my pen at the moment and I need some help in working out what's going on. Basically, I recently received as a present a conway stewart silver series. All very nice. Over the past few weeks, however, I've noticed that every time I take it out of its cap there is ink just on the nib end of the barrell. I thought initially that this might be because I was carrying it wrong...but I tried leaving it in one place and the same thing happened. I thought the cap might need cleaning...so I cleaned that out but the same thing happened. I decided to turn the pen vertical (nib up) and observe what happened just now, and I noticed that around the join between the silver grip part and the plastic that the nib and feed fit into a small pool of ink was beginning to form.

Any ideas what's going on here? Is this something I've done wrong, something that happens naturally, or a fault with the pen that I need to get fixed?

If the pen is a C/C filler, check to see that the cartridge or converter is seated tightly; try a new one if you can. If that doesn't fix it, or if the pen is a button filler, contact Conway Stewart and ask to return the pen for warranty repair.
