Wow...beautiful pens. As much as I admire the intricate designs as some of your Maki-e pens are, I must say that your Urushi pens are my favorite. The "texture" that some of these pens exhibits is just amazing...

I really want a custom Makie with the Seven Samurai theme or a Yojimbo theme. Something with toshiro mifune in a samurai theme kicking some serious butt!!!! The pen would have to be a Genkai sized pen!!!

One of these days when I win the lottery, Ill bribe one of the Maki-e artists to create something for me!!!

BTW:
the Bokashi-maki with gold flakes looks quite similar to my DaniTrio Ban-ei Nishiki-nuri in regards to the black with gold flakes!!!
