Not sure where to ask this, so I will post here..
Is "Pens & Pencils A Collector's Handbook by Regina Martini" a book worth adding to your library?
Thanks

In my opinion, any book on pens is worth having. While this one has a lot of black and white photos and often humorous older pricing info, there are some pens in here I haven't seen anywhere else. I by no means have every book, but for the price (IIRC about $20) this is good to have. It has a heaver bend towards some german brands including a large Pelikan two page spread.
Hope that helps-

Hi Tom,
I would certainly recommend it. There is a lot of info there for the money. The pen photos are not large like in FPOTW or "The Blue Book" but the number of pens photographed is quite substantial for a lesser-priced book.
Oh, and as Brian says, you can never have too many pen books

Hope this helps,

I found that it covered quite a few pens that I saw nowhere else. I was able to check it out of a local library (along with several other pen books) and that was adequate for my limited need for reference for now. Tom, you might try that (or inter-library loan) first to evaluate whether you want to buy it.

I don't have that book yet either, but the feedback here has been positive enough that I am going to spring for it. I firmly believe I cannot have enough boks on pens! - I have also acquired quite a few books about calligraphy and penmanship, and added hours of delightful reading and practice to my hobby.

Tom,
I am a book fanatic. IMHO any book is worth having in a library. After all that is how one builds a library in the first place
