Full Version: I'm Cracked!!!

I managed to be extremely lucky recently fishing off the bay. Classic case, poor picture, terrible description, but my keen eye saw past all this so I placed a bid and won. When the pen came in the mail I was pleasantly surprised (although it wasn't what I thought I was getting, but just as nice). A couple of years ago I picked up a yellow cracked ice dollar pen in a parts lot. The cap was perfect, but the barrel was cracked through the imprint, and the threads were cracked and mostly gone, but just enough to thread on the cap. This came to me with a cracked cap and a nearly perfect barrel, so I had myself a whole pen. What are the odds? smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

The top one is complete, the bottom one appears shorter, only because most of the threads are missing.

Cracked ice esties are some of the most beautiful models they ever produced, IMO, and these two sure look nice together. smile.gif

Wow, what good fortune to find just what you needed! smile.gif They are pretty pens & I like that "cracked ice" effect too.

I had a box of those and just parted them out thinking they were bad fakes...

But seriously...

They're gorgeous pens and I want one in copper.

Very nice pens... Which proves that the bay is not that bad tongue.gif

BTW the eyedropper is on the way - thanks!

The funny thing about this is a friend of mine fom work was also bidding on this same pen based on the incorrect description. We had a good laugh about it when I came in the high bidder at, well, I probaby shouldn't say. smile.gif

Let's just say it was less than the cost of lunch. I can take a gamble on ebay for that. smile.gif

I saw the notification about the eyedropper. Thanks for looking at it!
