I saw this pen on Ebay and thought I had to have it. I dropped out when my bid of $250 was outbid, it eventually sold for $888. What a beautiful pen.

heck, sounds like we need a PVPP representative!

Gorgeous pen. I try not to look at vintage Pelikans for fear of sobbing historically.

That's a Pelikan 400 in "mother of pearl" or "light tortoise." Sold in the early 50s in Argentina.

There's also a mother of pearl 400NN.

If anything, I'm surprised it didn't go for a bit more.
