These were taken outside on a bright but cloudy day. So the lighting isn't great and the colors are a tad dark - no PS manipulation.

The M400 Tortoise all on it's little lonesome.

Top: Pelikan 120 school pen. Vintage pen with great semi-flex nib.
Left-to-right:
M200 Telekom (made for a corporation. Sometimes sets can be found. Wish I'd bought one when I saw it on ebay a couple of years ago.)
M200 Grey marble. Pre '97 style.
M400 Blue Stripe. One of my favorite writers - perfect with DC Blue.
M200 Green translucent. Doesn't get used a lot - nice pen but never jumps out of the box.
M200 green marble - that one. The one that is used every day.
M400 White Tortoise (or "Honey"). IMO, the most striking of the lot. I spend a lot of time admiring it. smile.gif

I've always loved that white torty of yours since I saw in in your avatar.

The colours really stand out in the larger picture and I can see how you could spend time just looking at it.

So, that's your flock! Very nice pictures of some very nice pens! biggrin.gif
I saw the 'Telecom' (magenta and grey one) Pelikan on Ebay the other day (Regina Martini sells them under the name "martini.de" ) Were they really cheap on Ebay a couple of years ago?

Nice birds Kcat!

I definitely like the rounded tops on teh 200 series better than the crown. Wish tehy still made them that way.

I have to go with the 120... mine is green and is a terrific little pen.

The Telekom's aren't rare. And I bought from Regina. But on ebay they've been more pricey lately. The key was that I've never seen the set again, though I'm sure there are more out there. I think it was FP and BP or FP and Pencil. But not sure. The color matches Noodler's Saguaro Wine beautifully.

I'm very fond of the 120 as well. Especially now that I have (confession coming) NOS Skrip blue-black in it.

 Ahh, OK...You were talking about sets....Yes, you don't see those crop up too often on Ebay. I haven't seen one but then again, I haven't been looking for M200s since I got mine.

I don't have a 120, but I have a 140 and it writes great!

I have often wondered why they changed. I suppose it could be that it removes a step - since all the caps now have the same shape from one line to the next. But I much prefer it, it gives it a little more of the vintage look. of course, i'd love to see them make a new 120 in new colors. There are plenty of old ones out there that are in good shape - but i think some new ones in bright colors would be fun. instead, they stick with the Pelikano style - more modern I guess. And cartridge fill. zzzzz

I'm gonna attempt to take a pic of my "aviary" this weekend. I can't do shots outdoors in this climate though. I'm not sure I'll get the lighting right at all. You inspire me as always.
