No laughing. I don't have a light-box setup or anything. These were just quick shots taken on a plain surface and a cheap digital camera and there was no fixing in photoshop or anything ...

Looks great! Seriously, if you want a lightbox, then any white lampshade will work. That's what I use. It would take some of the glare off of your nib close ups...

I use the lampshade thing, too.
No laughing here. The pics are nice. Hubby would like to have your pencil collection I think. He keeps telling me I should start collecting vintage pencils even though I don't really want to. For him of course.
anyway - I enjoyed the pics. Especially the Old Timer. Just how old is the Old Timer? I've never seen one of those and didn't even know they existed.
thanks for sharing these - I am the worst about saying I'll post pics and then not doing so. no good excuses - just a procrastinator.

The Old Timer models came out in the late 90's IIRC and according to Jim there are at least 6 different chasing patterns.
I also use a lampshade but find that using a white linen cloth also works well to diffuse the light from my main lamp. I also have a few small secondary lights that I use when I am really taking serious pictures rather than quick shots.

Thanks for sharing your photos with us, Cam No laughing here...Pens can be tricky to photograph---lots of shiny surfaces for light to bounce off of...
They are all nice pens, but that Sheaffer NoNonsense "Old Timer" model is a very pretty one...and you don't see a lot of them for sale on Ebay/the pen boards....
