I really planned NOT to do pen photography this time. The show is very busy on the buy/sell/shmooze front, and it is hard to find a place to leave the camera set up at length (takes me about 30 minutes to set up and break down each time).
But, i have had a couple requests now to do pics and the offers of some of the pens to shoot are just too tempting.
Sooooo, the camera will be with me. Probably do some Friday afternoon shooting in the bourse. Maybe some thursday night and saturday night up in my room. Goal is basic- i'll be happy to shoot 150 pens, no need for 600 this go round.
If you have some funky USA-made vintage pens that would be good to shoot, drop me an email to discuss or curbside me at the show.
I don't know if Bill Riepl will have his camera set up with him, but if he does, please give him a crack at some of the funky pens. His shots are in a different (and better) league than mine.
Here is a sample of a rare 75
