I've just received my first Pelikan. It works very well and I'm happy with it. It is a piston filled Silvexa and has what seems to be a fine nib. It filled and writes very well. I'm very happy. Up to this time my fountain pen exprience has been primarily an American affair, but that has changed and Europe is now on the horizon.

Congratulations, Mike!
I have one myself, with a gold cap. Nice pen, but I don't use it very often these days. You post is a timely one: time to go and get it in rotation!
Warm regards, Wim

Congratulations on the new pen. My first Pelikan was what really got me interested in trying lots of new pens - I guess I could say it's to blame for all these pens I have -
