Ok, I know I'm probably the only one interested but look at this beautiful pen that just went on the dreaded eb*y.

It went way beyond my budget for such a pen (finished at £48) but I wonder what the nib is like? I imagine it would be comparable to a Duro. I wish I could find out more about Burnhams, they made some great pens.

Anyone else have a Burnham?

(Hope the pic comes out ok)

Nice one, isn't it? I have a Burnham nib in a Mentmore Autoflow of mine (don't ask!). It's nice and soft but not exactly flexible. Not in the same class as a Conway Stewart Duro or higher-end nib from CS, but similar in feel. The vent hole is simply circular rather than heartshaped, and the nib (it's a medium) has plenty of flow.

It reads:
Burnham
14 ct
Gold
Super
Quality

Hope this helps

Hi Greg,

I've got a Burnham somewhere, very nice pens particularly the nibs. The pen you show is a better than average sample.
I remember you mentioning lot's of lesser well know British makes such as Stephens, Croxley, Burnham, Unique etc...There are some very nice lesser known's around. It's just that they've gone out of business and been almost forgotten.
