I recently acquired a pen with a fine italic nib (some but not a lot of line variation) and have been tinkering around with it since my initial interest in fountain pens (or really pens in general) dates from an elementary school hobby of italic and old english lettering (still wish I had my little Osmiroid set with the 6 screw in gold nibs...). And with 25 (okay, maybe more) years in between my skills are rusty to say the least!
Well, seeing what Ann did - the flow and remarkable uniformity - the sheer beauty of her writing - I am inspired to renew my efforts to improve not only my day to day penmanship but my italic hand as well.
I hope she doesn't mind me giving her such a glowing review!
