I just received in the mail a CS #15. It appears that the sac has perished. Is the section friction fit or a screw in?

Thanks.

Chris

...never mind. it's a friction fit. got it out. It still had the original Conway Stewart sac in it. unusable though.

For future reference, 99.99%+ vintage CS pens just have a push fit section. I have only ever seen one genuine CS that has a screw section (a strange shaped RG overlay) but there are no doubt a few more lurking out there!

Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking it was something other than a friction/push fit section because it wouldn't budge. Once I got a better grip on it, it came out.

Chris,

I think the sac size is 18. But you could go for one smaller for a tighter fit on the section nipple.

Gary,

It's been resacced with a #17 bladder.
