I got a nice Blue Wearever lever fill with a bunch of Sheaffer TDs from eBay...
The pen has a two tone gold/silver clip and a gold band on the cap...
The nib is marked Stainless USA and there is a wide cut from the breather hold about half way to the point where is becomes a standard thin slit. The nib has a good size chunk of iridium and can write a thin line if held upside down.
BUT, what is real strange is that the nib is a semi-flexible medium. YUP a steel semi-flexible nib.
I am curious.
Does anyone have any idea what model Wearever this is... it is in real nice shape.

Stainless steel flexi nibs do exist.

how about the esterbrook 9128 and 9788 flexible nibs?

I own a bunch of these and can tell you they are flexi. Not wet noodles but they do flex.

Actually, I think there are a lot of extremely flexy steel dip pen nibs. I think the challenge was making a flexy stainless steel nib that would not corrode for fountain pen use.

Great pen. Wearever made some good and underrated pens.

I acquired a very similar Wearever a while back. Same color and body design as yours but with silver-colored trim and a wider band. But the same nib. Mine shows wonderful line variation, I'm not sure I'd call it flex, but what amazes me is the smoothness of the nib. As smooth as some expensive modern nibs and much smoother than any vintage pen I have. I too wondered about the model name of this one and had explored around the web but couldn't find anything, perhaps Wearever didn't have names for every model?

Hey Tom....well "the" wearever person is out of town right now, but as his wife I can say it is a Zenith model. Of which I think we have in darn near every color made...LOL. Here is a pic of my favorite type of wearever, the pacemaker.

More nice wearevers. These are Deluxe 100 models with matching mech pencils
I've got tons more pics of various models, but I will spare you our sickness for collecting these. There are so many and yes most are not worth looking at but you would be surprised by how beautiful some of the celuloid was they used in these low end pens. And yes some of their steel nibs are great writers as well.

I think Dennis has alot of his pics and names of the different lines posted on his website. Penden.virtualinfamy.com
