Bought this at the weekend.

I really do need the 51 book to help me id these things.

Hopefully the other items I picked up will earn enough spondoolies to help me keep this.

I'm assuming it's burgundy but don't know what year.

That's three I have now.Becoming hooked.Far too many variations.Want them all.

Is there a cure for this addiction?

Come on Max, 3 is not hooked, 3 is like saying you have the flu when you get a sniffle biggrin.gif

Once you get over ten then you are getting towards being hooked. Once you start scanning the online haunts for another "51" like the one you already have, but with a slightly different nib/cap/DJ/Vac instead of Aero. Then you are starting to show signs of being hooked and the OCDs lticaptd.gif

Looks like a nice Aero example to me, and as there is no band at the bottom of the cap, then a later one at that. What is the filler like? Does it have the plastic plug in the end or is it all metal and closed off? That would give you more of a clue, also, what markings does the cap have, that can help to.

What size is the nib too. Looks like a very good buy to me, if you don't want it I will give you the address to send it to rolleyes.gif

Hello Jim.

Surely it's possible to be hooked before you get to ten.

The filler has a plastic capped end.

There are no date markings on the cap other than the made in England and the Parker logo.

Nib size.Good question. How do you remove the nib to tell?

What year were the cap bands discontinued?

Sorry to disagree Jim. but with "51"s hooked is one smile.gif
