Full Version: What's the most bizarre FP you've seen?
The most truly bizarre FPs I've ever seen are the incredibly ugly sculptures by Michel Audiard. As for commercial pens, as opposed to "art" pieces, it has to be the rOtring Core:
The really annoying thing about the Core is the way something so hideous, something designed deliberately and with malice aforethought to look like an athletic shoe, writes. These things are very good writers! Their writing performance notwithstanding, I stand by this slogan:

Well, Richard went easy on you and posted a pic of the most conservative colour scheme. I'd have bought one of the more lurid ones myself, but they don't feel right in my hand.

Oof- that’s an ugly pen!
But I’ll agree with Richard- these do write well. It’s also the only FP I can think of where the plane of the nib is proud of the grip. This gives excellent visibility. However, like most Rotrings, the nib is so rigid it’s like writing with a tent peg, but it’s tough as old boots and you could probably use it as a tent peg and it would still write well.

My husband and I were in Las Vegas recently and I just couldn't resist going into w.ink in the Wynn.
I turned my back to look at a gorgeous David Oscarson, and he gets the saleslady to pull out a Krone Mailyn Monroe.
I'm sorry. I think this is an ugly pen. I'd be embarrased to take it anywhere.

That IS gross, as are most Krones, IMHO. Quite like that mabie todd though in a strange way. Looks like a ceremonial object of some sort.
