Great post Richard! I have seen those in the times I have gone through your collection online

, but as a white metal pen fan, it's great to see them all in one place!
Who's next?!

Great idea, Amin. I'll have to pull out the camera later today and take a few pics.

Tomorrow I will try to finish my light tent and will post again the same pens, to see if there is some difference

Jopen, all three are beautiful pens, and the photo's not so bad! I'm pretty sure I can ID the first and third, but please tell us more about all three - model name, filling system (for the first), material, and approximate year if you don't mind. Thanks!
TMann, looking forward to your pics!

Very classy and attractive pen Hans. That's one 144 that won't crack when it hits the pavement

. Wish I could say the same for my dad's precious resin 144 . To MB's credit, they fixed it on the spot at a retail store for no charge.

Light tent makes a big difference - they have much more visual impact in the good light! Thanks for the information on the pens. Must feel good to receive such a nice pen from a patient!

Hi Amin,
Here's a bad pic of a beautiful pen

The Cross 150th year anniversary in sterling.
It has probably the sweetest writing medium nib i have. Namiki nib?
The design reminds me of some American fighters of WW2, unpainted aluminum
with 3 black stripes under their wings. I don't know why i mention that.

This isn't the most artistic photo I've ever done, but I think that it does show the pens pretty well.
From left to right: Parker "51" Flighter, Namiki Vanishing Point, Sheaffer Imperial, Sheaffer ballpoint (model unknown), Parker Sonnet Cisele, Parker Sonnet Silver Finish.
The "51", the Imperial, and the Sonnet Cisele are all
metal finished pens. The Vanishing Point and Sonnet Silver are painted silver with a
lacquered finish. No matter what the material, I really like silver pens.
Thanks for the photo idea, Amin!

Hi Jeen, that is a really sweet pen that I had never seen before. Must look great alongside your stainless 146. Thanks for introducing me to that one!

Great photo TMann! The "51" flighter is a pen I know I will

after until I find one to call my own. The silver Imperial is also stunning. Is that a Touchdown filler? I bought a crosshatch silver Imperial TD on the Green Board today to go with the old 75. Will post a pic of the two together - along with the Hero 100 (which BTW I am greatly enjoying) - in this thread later in the week.

Bottom pen is an Eagle Pencil Company (circa 1925), posted

and capped

top is a Superite, not silver, but gold plated. At the time I took this , I thought they looked good together and were from the same time period.

philm, they do complement one another nicely. Elegant looking pair of pens which appear to be in really terrific shape. I hadn't known much aout the Eagle Pencil company but enjoyed reading about their history after your post. Thanks, Amin.

Here's my polished titanium and Olivewood one. It's my personal favorite.

Here's another titanium pen. This one has a special textured finish that looks like Damascus Steel or Mokume Gane.

Striking designs Bruce. I think I saw one of the ads in a recent pen magazine with a design that reminded me of your titanium/Olivewood design. I was wondering if they had copied it from you.

Thanks Amin. The new Visconti Golden Ratio pen is somewhat similar, but they are using acrylic that looks like wood and have thin spirals of silver. It's a nice look, and is probably my favorite production pen. If that's the one you are referring to, I'm sure they must have had that in the works long before seeing mine. I saw one for the first time at the Southeastern Pen Show around a month ago. They were not yet due for release at that time.
A few of my pens were in the last PenWorld magazine, in the Pen Makers Guild article, so it might be possible you noticed it there.

I think you're right on both counts Bruce. I was talking about the Visconti, and I did see you pens in that issue!
