If you happen to visit Daiso dollar store do pay a close look at their stationery section. If you are lucky, you can find Platinum pens for just over a dollar (Two Sing dollar). Being cheap, you can now have a pen ready to lend to your friends. Its made of plastic except its M size metal nib. The body is no thicker than a pencil which make its harder to hold however. For best performance, the feed section needs to be flushed with soapy water first.

You can find Sailor and Platinum cartridges for sale. Daiso sells small plastic containers for travel use. On the same shelf you may find large syringes with pipettes which are great for flushing and refilling empty cartridges.

The problem with Daiso is its high stock turnover so you may not be so lucky. That is why I bought about a dozen for my own personal use. If anyone wishes to give this pen a thorough review, I would be glad to mail it to him or her.
