Hello,

I'm in desperate search of small, bound notebooks no larger than 7cm X 10cm -- ideally with high-quality paper for the specialized pens my husband and I use for our work (labelling herbarium specimens and insect specimens, of all things). I have heard rumors of a Miquelrius 6.5cm X 10cm notebook but I can't find those online. Might anyone out there have a suggestion? Our particularly particular criteria are below.

With many many thanks,
Coprinus

Smaller than 7cm X 10cm
No wirebound - cloth; leather or faux leather cover desired
Built-in ribbon bookmark a plus
No address or date printing; grid or lines desired
Heavy paper appropriate for Pigma pens

The Container Store used to have small (7cm by 9 cm) books with very very narrow ruling. You might check there.

I'm holding a Miguelrius notebook thats 7cm x 12 cm, bound on the long edge, with a softish cover and an elastic band.

It's a little bigger than you want; I got it from Pendemonium. Ruling is 8mm lined. The notebook is about 8mm thick.

I use 48 page 7.5 x 12 cm Rhodia saddle stapled notebooks, also from Pendemonium.

Hello again,
Thanks to all who have written back! Your help was just what I needed to successfully conclude my search, and I really appreciate your posts. Following some of your leads led me to Scribesdelight. In gratitude, I want to share a very helpful note from Linda at Scribesdelight@mac.com:

"We have the small bound pocket notebooks that you describe, including ribbon bookmark!
These beautiful smyth-sewn leather books are priced at $29. each.
The leather colors available are:
* Traditional Soft Calfskin: Black, British Tan, Red
* Terello Hand-Stained Italian Leather: Pink, Lime, Orange, Lt. Blue

Size: 2-3/4 x 3-3/4 inches
160 pages
Cream-white, acid-free paper, gilt edges.
Double-faced cream satin ribbon marker.
Lined pages for journaling, jotting, or notes

"

Linda says the paper is of sufficient quality for fountain pen ink (archival quality, acid free, appropriate opacity).

Thanks again!

A7 (3.5"x5.5")
A7 paper/notebooks can easily fit in pockets.
I only have sprial bound but Pendemonium has clothbound and staplebound ones on their Clairefontaine page.
