I love this color and don't mind the tendency to smear when it is wet, since I use a blotter. But--even after it is dry, if it gets just a mite wet, it will smear. That is most annoying!

I love this ink in small doses. I use it exclusively in a VP with a fine nib that happens to be a fairly dry writer. Under those controlled circumstances it works well, dries quickly enough and doesn't smear after drying.

 

It will still smear if it gets wet but that isn't very unusual.

I used this for signatures for a while, but it has been a while. Beautiful color. I don't recall if I used it more with my Lamy AL Star or my Waterman Phileas - both with a fine nib. I do remember it didn't dry very quickly though - which is kind of a pain when you are signing 200 tax returns. Part of the reason I wanted to try something different when I bought the Pelikan 4001 Blue Black I love so much.

very nice color thanks for sharing :thumbup:

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
