Yesterday I went to the Levenger store at Chicago's Macys and I found that they have a promotion on Circa notebooks. Our very own Ryan put together a new one for me, and I am enjoying it immensely. I think that you can have the same in all the Levenger stores.

Doh! I just moved from a city with a Levenger mini-store in Macy's (Minneapolis) to one without (Indianapolis)! And I'm contemplating a Circa purchase in the near future!

Wait a second...Macy's has a Levenger mini-store in MPLS somewhere? Which mall?

Julio...what else did you get while you were there? And what size was the promo notebook?

Those Circa notebooks are terrific, aren't they?

The notebook is whatever size you want. Ryan (his handle in this forum is rasmussen) made a letter size for me.
I picked up also some 3 x 5 cards, and generally salivated on the new TrueWrite FPs, which now have interchangeable nibs and, therefore, are more open to customization.

Julio,

It was great to meet you in person. Indeed, I look a little too much like the SecondLife avatar pictures used in community forums.

As for the free custom notebook deal, it's a promotion running at all of the Levenger stores. -Link to most recent DiyP discussion- It's a unique method for allowing customers to experiment with the notebooks first-hand. Of course, we hope the sample sparks a series of creative ideas for how the system can be personalized for each user (which eventually leads to selling more pockets, dividers, etc.) For anyone simply curious about Circa, it is a pretty compelling promotion.

Ryan,

Unfortunately, we don't have Circa Bars set up in Minneapolis. For a brief period, there were Levenger items in some of the Marshall Fields'. However, this is no longer the case. The custom notebook experience only happens in one of the six stores listed on the web.

And what size was the promo notebook?

-Any size. The custom part of the notebook is where we ask questions, and build a unique book based upon the kind of pages and accessories the customer is most interested in trying.

Thanks,
Ryan

I was at the store in Tyson's a few weeks (months?) ago and saw the free circa sign. My people were hurrying me so I did not bite. I figured it would have been a tiny sample book (which I would have used nevertheless).

I hit Tyson's today and got my free 8.5x11 book. Very nice saleswoman. They are very willing to put the books together and answered all my questions with great patience.

Does anyone know if the Macys in Southern California have the Mini-levengers?

Thanks,

Erica
