High everybody! I stumbled on this site about a week ago and some how it spoke to me and I haven't been able to look away since. I've been writting with fountain pens off and on since I was in grade school but in the last decade or so I seem to have gotten away from them. But I'm inspired to take pen in hand again (somehow I think it's part of my mid-life crisis, and that's fine too) and start keeping a journal again. I find that writing with a fountain pen slowed me down considerably, improved my penmanship and lent a comforting sence of classiness. I'm sure you know what I mean. Not really interested in collecting, just writing. But who knows what the future holds. Right now I have so much to learn, and there's a lot to explore here. It's a whole new world for me, and I'm gratefull to feel right at home from the start.
All the best,
Biber

Hi Biber and welcome to FPN. Don't waste your time with a midlife crisis. There's too much out there to buy and enjoy. Besides, I never really understood where that expression came from because it presupposes that we already know the length of our years and can judge that we are in midlife....
