Joined to learn more about urushi, not for pens however but for application in kintsugi (repair of ceramics).
Is the lacquer tree (Toxicodendron vernicifluum) grown anywhere in this area of the USA? Anyone know a domestic source of raw lacquer?

Greetings and welcome to FPN! How interesting. I wasn't aware that urushi could be used to repair ceramics. Are you sure it would be appropriately colored?
