Hello everyone!
I've been lurking for a couple of days, and finally decided to join up and say hello.
I don't yet have a fountain pen, but I am planning on getting one soon. I'm a poor student, so I'm planning on starting off with something cheap, maby the Pilot Knight or something, and then work my way up from there.
Other than my new fascination with fountain pens, I'm also an avid writer and reader. I enjoy Sherlock Holmes in particular as well as The Divine Comedy, but I'll read pretty much anything I can get my hands on.
My two major hobbies are astronomy and mineral collecting. I have several telescopes that I take outside every clear night I can, and my mineral collection is currently over 70 unique specimens.
Well, that's all the really interesting stuff about me. I hope to learn a lot about fountain pens and all the wonderful things that go with them here.
Looking forward to talking to you all on the forums!

Thanks everyone for your warm welcomes! I'm feeling very at home here.
I do find that Sherlock Holmes is one of the deepest, most realistic characters that literature has to offer. I have nothing but the utmost respect for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle .
And thank you Erick. I'm rather fond of Harpers Ferry and Bolivar myself. ;)

Welcome aboard from here in not so sunny England. EBay is a great place to start a collection of fountain pens. I have bought some lovely ones.

Hello Everette, I see you are a Douglas Adams disciple too! Greetings from this new member in Shepherdstown.
