Pink Safari - Now What? Help me find THE ink for it.

I'm at a loss. I was given a Pink Lamy Safari with a B nib. I went to ink it up, but was stopped in my tracks when the door on my ink cupboard slammed shut, stayed shut, and the Safari started to squirm in my hand - trying to get away from all those beautiful Blue and Blue-Black inks.
Well, I wasn't going to force-feed it - who needs a recalcitrant FP?? They can be ornery enough on a good day.
I showed the Pink Safari some swatches from J Herbin, but it didn't pop its cap. Totally uninterested in reds and pinks. (Hmm - is the Pink Safari colour-blind?) My other Safari, sort of a brushed s.steel finish, came out to chat, but no progress.
Well, I didn't want any more stress, so I put the Pink Safari back in its box, and placed it next to the case where my un-inked pens get some rest, play volleyball & croquet, imbibe rum vapors, etc. It quieted down nicely, so I don't expect to be woken-up tonight by Pink Safari suicide or escape attempts. Maybe the pens can talk quietly amongst themselves, so at least the Pink Safari can build some confidence - pens received as gifts have a special place in the pen social hierarchy.
I checked on the 'net and got only 'Zero Hits', and no reply at this early stage from the Lamy site.
So now you know the grim situation.
I appeal to the individual and collective wisdom and experience of FPNers : What ink will make friends with the Pink Safari with a B nib? It appears that the Blues, Bl-Bks, pinks & reds are non-starters.
Best Regards,

I have a Diamine color that'd be good, but I can't remember the name offhand, but I think it's Deep Magenta. Noodler's Cactus Fruit would also be good.

I have a pink Safari with the 1.1 italic nib, and I'm currently using Private Reserve Shoreline Gold in it. My Safari seems to like the golds and oranges; there hasn't been a squirm or a peep out of it since I got it!

Made it thru the night with no drama. It'd been with the Pelican - the cheetah of my pens - it just loves to write and write fast. The ink steams & there's wee scorch marks around the letters. The page is laid in the horizontal 'landscape' orientation to minimize 'turnarounds'. Very impatient pen, prone to spelling errors and nib overheating.
After my shower, I popped the Pink Safari into my shirt pocket and started my day. It showed interest in the coffee - no idea if it was the colour or the smell, but I wasn't going to share it.
I had to get the neighbors' dog King, a giant black lab, out for a play date with two malamute sled dogs, Ike & Rory. The Pink Safari got a ride in my jacket sleeve pocket so it could see what was going on. Temps well below freezing. The Pink Safari got a bit of a misguided welcome lick from King. Cruised by a church on the way home, and thought of getting some holy water for the Pink Safari's 1st wash, but no idea if its Christian, so I let it slide.
It being Sunday morn, I knew the local stores where I usually buy my inks would be closed, then I thought of the place in China Town where I buy my Heros & lottery tickets - they must have ink. So they did - a bottle of Quink Permanent Turquoise with Solv-X was exchanged for some rumpled bills. The Pink Safari didn't kick-up a fuss - likely was preoccupied with thoughts of Dim Sum.
The thank-you note to Olivia & Vivien for the Pink Safari has to be in the mail 1st thing Monday. So I got out my Crayolas, and Sumi ink & brush for the task of making the card. In the usual clatter & confusion that set King to pacing, I swooped the Pink Safari from my pocket into the Quink - fast & smooth as someone giving H1N1 shots. A bit of bubble & backfire, but OK. No squirming during the wipe down. Back into my pocket to rest, then when I finished the card, out came the Pink Safari to write the note. No fiddling about with 'tests' or trials - just wrote the note. 1st time it touched paper. Did a nice job too. Olivia & Vivien did real good selecting the pen.
And yes, I will try inks in the Magenta range too. Oh, is J Herbin's 'Bleu Azur' really blue? or could it pass for a turquoise? Looking at several ink makers samples, it seems that Turquoise is a colour not all that well explored. Hmm.
Thanks to everyone for their kind advice.
A wee note to djh: I never thought that the Pink Safari is a lady. Even the gender of my work-a-day Sonnet is unknown.
Many thanks,
Sandy1

Diamine Turquoise for the contrast - a great, dark turquoise.
J Herbins Violette Pensee - great lilac/purble.
...or just a deep black.
but the form of every virtue at the testing point,
which means at the point of highest reality.

In fact, your posts have pretty much made my day. Olivia & Vivien are in for a real treat when they get your "thank you," I have no doubt.
If you don't make your living with your writing, maybe you should seriously consider it?
Still grinning,

Thanks for your prompt reply. As we all know, looking at depictions of ink samples on a computer monitor is an iffy proposition at best, so I appreciate peoples' impressions immensly.
Today we learned that:
- The Blues are out, along with the BlBks. The Pink Safari won't have 'em.
- 'Someone' is poking fun at me 'cause they know that I don't have or ever want to have a trace of Black ink in the joint - other than Sumi. (Am I that easy to read?)
- Reds & Pinks don't float. The Pink Safari didn't think much of the few cartridges of Red - even the PenMan 'Ruby' got no play. From the human side, I'd feel as if I was correcting some poor student's quiz. And the recipient of a letter written in such a colour might think that I was 'shouting'.
- Turquoise needs more exploration - the Quink has provided a reasonably neutral starting point. Needs a little more sizzle. Definitely with clean white heavy paper.
- The 'down there' gritty Magentas need to be explored. Lots of potential for sizzle. Might consider a very pale blue (airmail?) paper.
- The warm Golds, Sepias & funky Browns seem a tad too reserved for the Pink Safari, but I know a Duofold who might be interested. Is Visconti Blue and the odd dip in PenMan Sapphire not good enuf for it? Ah me.
- Black labs like to pretend they know more than any two malamutes.
- Pink Safaris don't snore.
- Tomorrow is another day.
