What about logging the new review in a separate index? It could be something like: "REVIEW INDEX FPN v2.0".
Another idea can be to split the work between volunteers and recreate the whole thing from scratch.
I can take care of a part of it.

Thanks for the offer, Diplomat. But I'm happy to say that the problem has been acknowledged by Invision Power (the folks who make IP.Board, our forum software). It is definitely fixed in IPB 3.0.4, and in 3.0.3 there is a manual fix that can be done. Roy is looking into it. If he decides to forgo the manual fix, then we'll have the relief with 3.0.4. He is in the midst of preparing for that upgrade. So, the upshot is that nobody will have to rebuild the index.

The upgrade is scheduled for November 27th. Be advised that this upgrade will force a reset of the private message system, causing all existing messages to be lost. Unfortunately we do not have a mechanism for preserving them and the archive function from the 2.x version is no longer available. If you have a message you must save, copy/paste it into a document and save it to storage (e.g. on your computer, external hard drive, on-line backup, whatever).

The 3.0.4 version solves the URL problem, so the index will be updated after the upgrade. It may take a few days as there are over 50 new reviews since then.

*SNAFU* - problem still exists since the upgrade. We're looking into it. IPB has a test environment running with the version we have and it doesn't have the URL problem, so we should get it straightened out soon. Thanks for your patience...

I have a different experience: long posts with lot of formatting, like my profile page, looks ok now. In my profile page the last "bold" words were appearing normal (not bold) with the tags visibles. Now they works.
