Standardgraph Blueberry

I noticed that there doesn't seem to be any reviews of Standardgraph ink. So even though I do not feel I really have the knowledge to produce an ink review, I thought I would have a go, in the hope that someone more knowledgeable than I would follow with something better.

I found a site on eBay that sells 22 different Standardgraph ink colours. This one is Blueberry. It is similar to a colour I mixed using Pelikan Violet, plus Platignum Blue.

This is a well mannered ink, with a good but not excessive flow.

While the white paper looks grey in this photo, the colours are a well represented except perhaps that they are very slightly lighter and bluer than the original (but it is marginal).

Here is a simple comparison of Standardgraph Blueberry and Forget Me Not Blue, using a no name very toothy dip pen

The full range of Standardgraph inks can be found on page 24 of this pdf

I like how the ink looks like.

It seems to me that it's a bit dusty, is it truth? If it's so I like it even more!

Thanks for the review.

Saluti.

Hi, which ebay site sells Standardgraph ink? The Forget Me Not Blue looks like a lighter shade of Baystate Blue.

This is where I brought my Standardgraph inks LINK

Be careful, they incorrectly calculated my combined postage cost, but then gave me a refund without any problems.

Yes a little dusty but not as much as Diamine Prussian Blue. Perhaps Prussian blue with a little extra red making it slightly more violet.

I have bought with that seller in ebay a couple of pelikan pens in the past and the service has always been excellent and very kind. H/She is very attentive. Not affiliated, just a satisfied customer. I was searching for info regarding this brand of ink, nice to see this seller has supplies.

They are cheaper from missing-pen.de, but the postage may be more.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
