I have a vintage 342 with an EF which has quickly become my daily user- it is very smooth and the nib feels springy; easily making it one of my best writers (if not the best). I have almost no experience with modern Mont Blancs, but am seriously thinking of taking the plunge, specifically one of the writer's models.
How are the F and EF nibs on the LE's (mainly the writer's models- I love the Kafka and Fitzgerald) how do they compare to the modern and vintage 146/149s
I am looking for another great daily writer to complement the 342 and don't mind a wider nib (I am assuming the moderns lay down a thicker line)
Any feedback greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance
