I heard about this ink's amazing sheen and just had to try it, and I'm glad I did! :puddle: It's a great overall ink with nice shading and saturation, and is very well behaved.

I took some really good shots of the sheen at an angle but I'll need to edit them a bit to make them presentable. Give me a little bit to get those up.

Ah, now I get why this is so often recommended. If you like sheen try PR Ebony Green and R&K Solferino.

PR Ebony Blue sure is nice. :D And just wait until I get the sheen pictures up… :puddle: :puddle: :puddle:

This is my favorite medium blue. Like you, the sheen is what makes it special for me. Without it, it's just a blue with good behavior, but with it... ahh, it's :cloud9: !

looks like a very interesting blue :thumbup: very worth a try

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

Great review and amazing ink!

 

I actually stumbled upon a new bottle from the Goulets a month or so ago and haven't stopped using it yet - its a PERFECT daily writer!

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
