Akkerman Zuiderpark Blauw-Groen

I am a total sucker for complicated blue-green colours, so this one struck my fancy RIGHT AWAY.

I love how dramatic the colour difference can be between the dark and light areas in terms of shading!

It behaves perfectly on all types of paper, too.

As usual, more pictures in my Akkerman sub-folder album here.

A good review and it looks a super ink too. It reminds me of R&K Verdigris and Diamine Twilight. Possibly Noodler's 'Prime of the Commons' as well.

I look forward to the next comments.

Thanks for the review. It seems very much like Diamine Teal, doesn't it?

It most likely is Diamine Teal.

I like your term 'complicated' when used to describe an ink shade :) I like 'complicated' inks, too. Don't want any flat, boring colors. This does remind me of R&K Verdigris, as well, of which I have a sample. I quite like them both.

This ink looks great - I love the inks that fall into that mysterious blue-green range :)

Currently using:Too many pens inked to list, I must cut back! :) I can guarantee there are flighters, urushi, and/or Sheaffer Vac-fillers in the mix!!!

I will buy some and do a comparison in a few weeks. :)

Have you had a chance to compare this with Diamine Teal yet? If they are different, I may have to order a bottle of this when I get a backup bottle of Voorhout Violet!

does it come in the funky bottle?

Sometimes the cat needs a new cat toy. And sometimes I need a new pen.

All the Akkerman inks do.

I'm not a fan of teals, but this one looks moody and shades so nicely! Thank you for the review.

Very nice, similar to Noodler's Squeteague also. I find myself more and more drawn to the complex colors such as these. Love those bottles!

Akkerman Zuiderpark blauw-groen is a very nice ink and I agree with the topic starter. But my experience is that this ink doesn't match with all the pens. It needs a wet nib and a generous feeder.

It works well with my Pilot Custom 74 Medium and Récife Crystal M.

It gives a drier flow to my Pelikan 800 M.

It struggled completely with my Pilot capless F and Hero 100.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
