So, I contacted Pilot Pen to arrange a repair. My query was done over the weekend. So, I received a response on Monday asking me to include a writing sample so that they can see more clearly what is the problem with the pen. Off the pen was sent out to Pilot on the following day. The package arrived at Pilot on the following day. They performed the repair / adjustment in the afternoon and shipped it back on that same day. I received my pen back on the following day. Still, my Koshi F was not to my liking as it was still in the dry side. So, I contacted Pilot again to ask them to do another adjustment for this Koshi F along with another Silvern Ishidatami M. I received a reply back on the following day and they agreed to adjust / repair both pens under warranty. This time, they asked me to include the photos of my hand holding the pen. With those photos, their repair person can fine tune my pens suitable for my writing style. The fact they asked the photos on how I am holding the pen speaks volume; they are very serious about fixing their products to a customer's satisfaction.
I sent the pens out on Tuesday. Pilot received them on Wed and repaired and shipped them out on that same day. I received my pens back on Thursday.
The results are excellent. Here are the pictures. If you look at one of the photos below, you can see before and after sample of Koshi F. The top sample for Koshi F is after the first repair; the bottom sample is after the 2nd repair. You can see the pen is laying down appropriate amount of ink compared to the top writing sample.
Both pens are now writing smoothly without any hint of skipping and dryness. Kudo to Pilot to fix my Silvern to perfection.
Nice touch by Pilot. The rep I dealt with included her hand written notes along with the proper documentation on the warranty repair.
