The Tenny "spring"

I would like to introduce you to the Tenny "Spring", a companion to "Fall". Recently, I reviewed the Tenny Fall and now, I'd like to tell you about "Spring".

 

I was looking forward to the arrival of my new "Spring", because I have thoroughly enjoyed the Tenny Fall and was sure that it would be just as beautiful and write just as smoothly. Waiting wasn't an issue, because my new pen was home in only a matter of a couple days. When I opened the package, I certainly wasn't disappointed with what I saw ... a beautiful pen!! The colors of spring blending and fading into one another with an overall cracked ice appearance. Beautiful!

 

The weight, just as the Tenny Fall, is perfect for me ... not too heavy, but definitely not a light weight. The size, also perfect for my hand, feels secure and comfortable. Another Goldilocks ... "Just right". Spring was ready to go, right out of the box. I did flush it, which I always do (even I have received a more experienced pen) and then came the truth in the pudding, so to speak. The nib on my new Spring had no difficulty laying down a nice line and it was just as smooth as the Fall was. There has been no skipping, no blobs, no leaks ... no problem of any kind. The new Spring hasn't been home long enough for the same test, but my Fall pen rested for over a week undisturbed and when uncapped, began writing, just as before, with absolutely no hesitation. No coaxing, no dampening of the nib/feed, no tinkering with the converter ... the nib only needed to touch the paper. There is no scratchiness. The nib just glides over the paper. Awesome!!

 

As before and always, for that matter, I don't post my pens, but did so just for you all. I found no problem with balance with or without the cap being posted. The Tenny is a well balanced pen, at least for me and continues to please me time and time again. As for the questions of would I recommend this pen to a new fountain pen user? Most definitely. Would I purchase another if another color was offered? Yes, with put any hesitation! My opinion of the Tenny Fall and Spring is ... a beautiful pen and great writer for a moderate price. The paper I have used so far has been, Rhodia (No. 18 pad), vellum, vintage onion skin, cheap Wal-Mart brand copy paper, Post-it Notes, Index cards (cheapies from Wal-Mart) and unknown paper from my local printer (my pens love that paper!) that I use for making journals.

 

All in all ... the Tenny is a winner and a keeper, in my opinion!

Very pleased that you got it! It's beautiful. :)

I love my 'fall' pen. I hadn't used it for a few days - just picked it up and it wrote straight away. I would certainly buy more if other colours were available.

What ink are you using in the 'spring' pen?

So, glad your Fall pen has company and you have the set. Thanks for posting this review and glad you like it too. This color is the one we have the least of by the way. The Fall version has been the best seller so far. Both are are great colors and I am not sure which one I could part with if I could only keep one.

Ohh ... so there's not many of the "Spring" left. Glad I grabbed mine when I did. As for if I had to choose only one?? Leaving the other behind?? Yikes, perish the thought!! Don't know that I could do that. LOL

 

Neither Fall nor Spring have been inkless since they came "home" and both are such a pleasure to write with!! Too bad they don't offer more colors, because i know I'd "have" to have them.

Geez, I'm sorry to have taken sooo long to answer your question!! My Spring is inked with Private Reserve DC Super Violet.
