Two Red Mottled Montblanc Subbrand Pens
Posted 17 March 2012 - 07:29
just finished restoration of these beauties - two red mottled ebonite Montblanc pens.
The no. 6 is branded Diplomat.
the no. 1 leverfiller Chancellor.
Both are undoubtedly Montblanc made, although expecially the no. 6 rather looks like a Waterman style pen. But nib, feed, spiral inside - everything is similar to a Montblanc pen.
I have also seen such pen styles with the imprint Montblanc Product going alongside the turning knob.
Both pens had a ruined cap lip - so I spent a day searching the proper material - hard to find a piece of mottled ebonite for the large diameter cap of no.6 Diplomat.
I then shaped and fit the new cap lips on the lathe.
NEW - We have started to list a batch of pens on MartiniAuctions.Com - Now already more than 1100 items...
