Just found a great P51 Forest Green Aero, made in the 3rd quarter of 1949, in excellent condition, with an OB nib. In addition, the pen has been thoroughly sonically cleaned. This, folks, is my first P51!
Won the pen on Ebay at a very affordable price and send it to Oxonian to install a Medium Stub on it. Of course I will post some photos when I have it in my hands...
My question is this: should I put "Ecclesiastical Stationery Supplies Registrars Ink" in it, that contains Iron Gall ? I am concerned that it will damage my pen in time... Also, because its a hooded pen, I am not sure that if I later decide to change the ink to something else, I will be able to clean it thoroughly without dismantling it....
Should I use an ink that is dye based instead?
Waiting for the esteemed opinion of you Parker wizards out there!
Thanks for your input on this subject
