Gaius Maecenas Cufflinks Picture Requested

A couple of months back, at Singapore airport, at the Montblanc boutique, I had seen the Gaius Maecenas Limited Edition Cufflinks. I now want to compare that to the Carlo Collodi cufflinks but I just can't seem to find a picture of them anywhere on the internet.

Does any one have a picture or link to the Gaius Maecenas Limited Edition Cufflinks?

Hope this helps!

Thank you! Phew! I searched every where on the internet for them but no mention at all anywhere. Any idea why? What's the item number for it? Even the MB website has no mention of it.

I believe this is the item number - 106677

US$545.

I was romping around in Rome, Monte Carlo, Barcelona and London last month and not all of them had the cufflinks. My boutique only had one set and don't expect any in as they are hard to come by.

If the info above is for the Collodi cufflinks, let me know and I will try to look for the other receipt.

Regards!

I like the Maecenas cufflinks, weren't aware that they did them.

I've seen the Collodi in real life, although they are great to look at I don't have and I doubt I ever will have a brown suit so won't want them. From the look of the photos the Maecenas is silver and white so would match blue, black or grey suits which are my preferences.

My Collection: Montblanc Writers Edition: Hemingway, Christie, Wilde, Voltaire, Dumas, Dostoevsky, Poe, Proust, Schiller, Dickens, Fitzgerald (set), Verne, Kafka, Cervantes, Woolf, Faulkner, Shaw, Mann, Twain, Collodi, Swift, Balzac, Defoe, Tolstoy, Shakespeare, Saint-Exupery, Homer & Kipling. Montblanc Einstein (3,000) FP. Montblanc Heritage 1912 Resin FP. Montblanc Starwalker Resin: FP/BP/MP. Montblanc Traveller FP.

Sorry. What I meant to say that if the item number I provided above was for the Collodi cufflinks, I will then look for the Macenas receipt.

Also, any idea if the Gaius Maecenas cufflinks are a limited edition? I am not able to find any literature on the cufflinks anywhere on the internet. Any link would be greatly appreciated. I saw these at the boutique today and it didn't seem to be numbered in any way.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
