Waterman Man 100 Document

Nath

Recommended Posts

Dear friends

For the French Pen Forum we have prepared a document on Waterman Man 100 with not all of them but most of them.

Hoping that you can have a little interest for this document we have translated it in English.

You know at least one person mentioned on the cover page, dboulonnais who sells often pens here. The last one is your servant (Nath/Nathalie/Libelle, Why make simple? ;) )

The document in PDF format: http://img72.xooimage.com/views/4/6/9/dossier_man-100_e_final-2c3cafc.pdf/

Happy reading

Best wishes

Hi Nathalie, merci bien pour ca.

Looks very nice. Our friend Georges is going to like that, always so full of praise... (probably has the french version already...)

By the way, could you post the link to the French forum? I am not good in writing/speaking French, but reading is OK. So I might learn from your forum..

The link in Nathalie's post leads to a pdf-document.

depending on your browser, that should either be shown in your browser, or be offered for download, to be opened with a pdf-reader.

Very nice. We appreciate the time that you spent making the document, I wished that I had seen this file before buying my first second-hand Man 100.

Thanks to Jar, I can offer you a document in even better English: http://www.mediafire.com/?yivmmw5gb7f1m9s

I am going to make progress in English thanks to you :D

I would like to have all the Man 100, one day! For now, I have only six: Man 100 black, Opera, Bicentenary (with its original wood box), Godron solid sterling silver, Patrician Blue and Patrician Red.

If you know others Man 100, do not hesitate to say it.

I know that it lack at least the Man 100 Michelin.

For the pleasure, two photos of the Michelin which Damien (dboulonnais) brought recently to my attention.

Nath has done a wonderful job ! The reference document she has posted is a great help for all Waterman's lovers, and Man 100 fans !

My favorite Man 100 is, I guess, the Man 100 prototype in genuine ivory. Two examples are known.

Very nice indeed,

I have a Man 200 Michelin but it only has the Michelin man emblem on cap end and box.

Wow that's my 1000 post :clap1:

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
