What a nice pen this is! (Sorry I did not take a full shot of the pen, I guess I was thinking everyone has one rolleyes.gif)

I should have one of these nifty pens at the DC Super Show Pendleton Point table where I will also be doing Pendleton Point CIs on the spot for those who wish!

FPN members will get 10% off their first purchase at the Pendleton Point DC Super Show table.

The TWISBI Seen here is featuring the Binder Burgundy recipe from my favorite mentor! J

How about you produce/grind the italic nibs for TWSBI instead of BOCK!?! :roflmho:

Thanks for asking Doug ~ If I can get access to the nibs I will make them available. Maybe I can make a connection in DC.

Meanwhile if anyone is going to be there with TWISBI in hand, or buys one there, I'll be doing nibs here on the spot. The F nibs do not have a lot to work with. The Ms will give you some favorable variations (as pictured).thumbup.gif

You should definitely think about finding a way to get your hands on a ton of TWSBI nibs to grind. I have a hunch there would be a lot of interest in them :roflmho:

Sorry this was a bit confusing ... headsmack.gif What I mean is .... you can send me your TWISBI and I will re-grind your nib into a cursive italic for $39 shipped US.

Please keep in mind that I don't add tipping material so it will be a bit smaller, and an EF is not the best candidate for a CI as the line variation will not be very pronounced. An EF CI may also feel a tad toothy to you.

Oh it wasn't this but part of your PM that confused me. I've found that I haven't been writing with the TWSBI as much since I got into italic nibs, so I've sent it off to you for grinding even though it's an EF. I'm sure I'll enjoy the new tip at any rate. Thanks again!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
