Stipula Giardino di Boboli – Limited Edition (#15/39) – 14k 1.1mm Stub nib

Offered for sale is this beautiful Italian pen. The Giardino di Boboli LE is a very limited edition of 39 pens which were produced for the prestigious Italian retailer, Giardino Italiano.

You can read all about this edition here -> http://www.pens.it/pens.htm?stipula/_boboli.htm

This pen is basically the same pen as the Nettuno Idra (also made by Stipula) and is made from the most beautiful celluloid. My photographs really can’t do the pen justice. The depth and warmth of the colour is simply gorgeous. A medium sized pen 135 mm closed, 155 mm posted. Near mint condition, cartridge converter filled, original box and papers, number 15 of 39.

The nib is a fabulous 14k 1,1mm stub which is very smooth and a joy to write with.

Only 39 of these pens were produced and the edition is long sold out.

I doubt you’ll see another offered for sale in a hurry.

Priced at $375.00 SOLD

All my pens carry a full ‘no quibble’ return policy for 7 days from receipt of pen.

Reliable standard airmail shipping from the UK is included, but I do recommend recorded, tracked delivery with insurance at an additional $10.00.

I prefer Paypal but will work with you for other payment methods.

Cheques and money orders are accepted in Sterling (GBP) only.

UK buyers, please check www.XE.com for a converted price.

Any questions, please ask, but only the first firm ‘I’ll take it’ e-mail secures it.

This one went fast. Someone took advantage of a rare opportunity. I have one with a 1.1mm stub nib, too. It is a lovely pen that is a great writer. Congrats to the buyer!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
