Here is another "Letter Exchange" badge for anyone interested...

http://mark.intervex.net/fpn/images/LetterExchange_sm.png

A little more of a "Vintage" feel with the gold/brass look over leather...

The code is:

[img=http://mark.intervex.net/fpn/images/LetterExchange_sm.png]

Or if you really want to show your letter exchange pride there's a larger version...

http://mark.intervex.net/fpn/images/LetterExchange.png

The code is:

[img=http://mark.intervex.net/fpn/images/LetterExchange.png]

Seemed a bit large for my taste though

If anyone is interested in a badge for any of the other exchanges, or any of the brand focus collectors, let me know and I'll see what I can whip up.

Currently Inked:

Montegrappa Extra 1930 Shiny Lines "Dove" L.E. (05/80) - Montblanc Permanent Grey (90yr Anniversary)

Pineider Arco - Monteverde Scotch Brown

Montblanc Rouge et Noir - Montblanc Bleu Nuit

You're both welcome. I'm glad someone else likes these. If anyone would like one for another exchange, let me know, I have the layered photoshop files hanging around on a thumb drive.

Optional badges for anyone who is interested.....

I really like your alternate badges - almost enough to inspire me to participate in one or more of the projects just so I can use them!

Wouldn't it be cool if a click on the postcard badge took you to that speadsheet of participants? I'm trying to find it!

I feel your pain, Fred. The thread search feature leaves most to be desired, since it appears to only tell you that the post you're looking for is somewhere in the thread but won't take you to the specific post in which it found your search terms. Not terribly useful in a thread with hundreds of postings.

My thought was that it would make sense for the initiator of the thread to post the link to the spreadsheet in the first post - even if the spreadsheet came along after the fact. Unfortunately, I suspect this isn't done in some cases because the thread initiator may no longer be participating on FPN, and no one else can edit the post.

Why won't my profile allow me to put two badges in my signature?

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
