:) That's a very nice one Antonios.

Do you have a high-resolution version ? I won't lie, it's to use as an uber-geekish Desktop background.

Peeking inside what, Antonios? :D

I see a spiral with something attached to it, seemingly in a pocket of some sort, and all of this in another sort of pocket, of which I can't make out what it is...

Ok, I give up. What is this? :D

Warm regards, Wim

Denis,

I think you really do need meds if you recognize a VP top from an X-ray type shot.... :D

And I thought it was the XCCC which as we all know is the part number for an Oscillating Deframatator used in conjunction with the "Sky Blue Pink with Yellow Dots" ink dispenser. The mark IV version of course.

Well...it's either laugh or cry and laughing is always the best medicine.

Well, that's true, but laughing in your situation may make you cry. So how do you handle that? :D

I am glad the picture is bringing tears of laughter to all of you - ever indirectly (Gary that was good).

Unfortunately I do not have a very high res one. I snicked this between sessions :)

But I got this one, that was "sliced" digitally:

I was actually looking at the first picture. I would have thought that the seal was done on the cylinder the "door" is attached to. I guess it shuts on the barrel itself then, right ?

Don't know about everyone else, but I see... the sail of a sailboat... a necktie with an abstract pattern on it... an x-ray through the chest of one of those HigglyTown Heroes characters... I see one of those twirly things that those floor gymnasts dance around with sometimes... toothpaste coming out of a tube... I'm also seeing disco lights... stars in the sky... Shakira doing a belly dance... hey, I'm flying...

You can't always get what you want... but if you try sometimes... you just might find... you'll get what you need...

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
