Nothing here yet.But my mother already received the new calendar with a small order.Very fine.

I can't wait for that catalog. It is a wonderful way to see what's new without buying the various pen magazines.

Alas, it came in the mail yesterday. Gorgeous as usual, but not many affordable new items. Still a delicious read. Yours should arrive soon. :bunny01:

Got it last weekend. Nothing moves me. It's such a weird feeling to be content with what one already has.

I had that same feeling until the Conway Stewart vintage bug hit my wallet. Now i must resist!!!

I hope to receive my catalog soon.I have the last 3 years worth and it is fun to look back on the past pens.

Sure beats paying for the Pen Annual at the bookstore.

That's just it - I've been buying vintage "Swans" recently, so nothing glitzy and colorful in the catalog moves me as much as another of those would.

Quick look at the catalog when it arrived yesterday. Interesting pens, but nothing to lure me away from vintage Conway Stewart.

Got mine last night, found I was more interested in pen cases. I want one that holds six, as that seems to be my new RDA of pens, what with this fabulous Flattop addition.

Being a new member, this is something that I didn't know existed. Do all members get one when they join up,

or do they have to buy something?

Irony is not lost on INFJ's--in fact, they revel in it.

I've been a customer of FPH for about 20 years, so I'm on their mailing list.

Yes. Received mine last week, but no time to really look through it yet. May have to put a Visconti or a Sailor 1911 on my list for Santa.....

I just received my FPH catalog as well. It is the usual lovely catalog, but I must admit I was not moved either - except by the prices. :yikes: I do not have the catalog in front of me at the moment, but (what was it?) over $700 retail each for a MB 149 or Pel M-1000?!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
