Props to Swisher Pens

I recently placed my first order from them - a bottle of ink. Short story even shorter - the package was shipped in 2 days (not bad) but it never arrived. I e-mailed them (right after they closed) and they got back to me the next business day to say that they were shipping out another bottle to me. They did, however, ask that I return one if I ended up getting both packages. Will do business with again (if I get at least one of the packages... hehe).

Swisher Pens is great. I've bought several items from them, and it's always been a completely smooth process.

Another happy Swisher customer here. I have only purchased twice from them (once in person and once by mail order), but I will certainly do business with them again.

Only good news here!

Ditto from me.

They've got the record for fastest ship time ever: two hours after I placed my order! I had even chosen the lowest-end shipping method.

Pretty awesome.

I use Swishers a lot and have only wonderful things to say about them. Everything from expensive pens to the cheapest notebook or bottle of ink - great selection and great service (unfortunately no relation - just a happy customer!)

My personal Swisher story: I ordered a 4.5oz of Baystate Blue.....they sent me a 3oz. I contacted them and they quickly sent the bigger bottle and as a sign of their apology they let me keep the 3 oz bottle as well!

+1 Just ordered several bottles of ink and some cards for gifts. Orders over $100 getting free shipping for a limited time. Saved me the $12.45 for priority mail shipping. Placed the order on Wed. and received it on Friday.....Great items, superb packaging and fast, fast service and shipping.

Can't go wrong here.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
