All,

 

I would like to offer up a fantastic recommendation on Steve's up and coming new company, All Write Now dot Net (temporary website is http://s270.photobucket.com/albums/jj85/pe...WRITENOWdotNET/. I recently purchased a fountain pen from him. He was very responsive, friendly, and shipped the pen out quickly. I ended up not liking the pen, he offered to refund and pay for shipping right away, with no argument or complaints. We ended up working out a trade. Please take a look and buy some pens! No affiliation with Steve, just a very happy customer.

Which other thread?

 

I've no idea what the deal with these pens is (other than what I saw in the price list), but I can certainly vouch for Steve. Would quite happily buy one of these from him... if I knew what the hell was going on. :D

Strange way to get started--just photos on an image hosting website; no web pages. The first image is a price list with contact information, though. But there's no text around explaining his company or much about the individual pens (beyond size and material). A cursory look at the images reveals what looks to me like vintage style pens, a couple mimicking Parker's old Vacumatic clip. Are these all recently handmade pens created or funded by Steve? What's the story behind "AllWriteNow"? :hmm1:

These are pens from India. As you can see from my signature, I got 2 of these beauties from Steve at the DC Supershow and they are great. I hope to do a review soon, if my wife let's me use her camera!

Just another satisfied customer here, chiming in on Steve's behalf. In response to all the curiosity generated by Hari's wonderful photos of Indian pens, Steve decided to start importing some. I got two of the miniature pens, the Devikas, from him, and they arrived today. He was wonderful to do business with, the pens are great, and it's exciting to get access to some very interesting pens being made for the Indian market but not otherwise available here.

Rajahmundry is a part of the East-Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh. It is South-East of New-Delhi approx 1500 kms.

I took a look this morning, and the price list is no longer on the site. Does anyone know if this is an oversight, or purchasing is temporarily not available?

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
