I picked up one of these boxes today and might be able to get a couple of more, if there is interest.

5 drawers, 10 pens per drawer, and we're not talking small slots. This would hold my Deltas! I plan to line the insides with black felt. Let me know if anyone might be interested in one of these. I have a price idea in mind, but I've been wrong in the past, so you might give me an idea what you would be willing to give for one (I promise I'll be fair!).

Sorry, my source isn't good enough to get me parts.

 

Probably worth $35.00 with felt attached, $20-$25.00 without. It is a cigar box, not fine wood.

I'd be interested in one, unless it's really heavy which would make the overseas shipping charges outrageous. But I guess not, since it's a cigar box, right? :) PM me when you have them ready and the price set.

My cost for the unlined box was more than that. And, I can't speak for anyone else, but lining these boxes takes some time if you do it well (and here's five drawers on this one).

 

Also, these aren't cardboard cigar boxes. I've seen wooden cigar boxes selling for $25-$60 dollars elsewhere. (I sold one of the exact same as the $25 boxes on ebay for about $10 shipped after no one here was interested...I lost money on that one).

 

I'm not meaning to sound gripy; just explaining.

 

Anyway, I'll probably only be able to get a few more of these, if any. I've already had some inquiries who will be the first to get any boxes that I can get. So, unless I can get more boxes, let's consider this one closed.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..
