What pen are you waiting for in the mail?

A Rotting Esprit and an Initial, both silver. I thought they would be the perfect pair, pocket and desk.

Then I discovered the Sheaffer Targa line. So one of those too now. In chrome.

Won an Arnold on the bay and ordered a Konrad Copernican Pearl and Laban Meno from Todd over at Isellpens today.

Now I have to intercept them when they arrive so my wife doesn't know I'm ordering pens again!

Waterman 52V XF-BB flex (bordering on superflex) from Maurico.

Belmont custom needlepoint flex from Greg Minuskin

Swan Self Filler # 2 from pokermon on FPN

Just received my Parker Duofold Streamline with 1.40 mm stub nib from Minuskin. Figuring out how to write with such a big nib!

I've always had nibs in the XXF to F range, but I saw the stub nib on Minuskin's site, realized I was in a rut and needed to shake things up!

Really, really, like the shading a bigger nib gives.

Maybe an italic, or music nib next.

I *was* waiting for my birthday present from my hubby -- a Sheaffer 100 of the "Three Friends of Winter" LE series. I chose the Plum Blossom one... but I'm not waiting for it anymore as it just arrived today! Happy Dance!

My camera battery needs recharged, so I don't have a picture of it yet except the one from Amazon. http://tinyurl.com/ouzgazc

It's a medium, and only comes in medium, so it's more of a wet writer than I'm used to, but very nice indeed.

A second Pilot Prera in Vivid Pink, M nib. :D I wanted a twin for my lime green Prera, as they're really nice writers.

I'm writing an online serial thing. It's urban fantasy. And I have no idea how long it's going to run for.

I'm waiting for a Laban Mento from isellpens.

It was shipped mere hours after I ordered it, so it shouldn't be long.

Instead of the flag there's a cartoon picture of a cute cow in a batman mask with the caption 'Holy cow Batman.'

(?????)

Oh! The flag's back.

The cow was kinda growing on me.

When I'm feeling blue I'll send the Batman cow signal haha.

Somehow Avalonia's icon got mixed up with my flag. Thanks for the loan, Avalonia.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
