What pen are you waiting for in the mail?

I'm waiting on a Pilot NAMIKI Capless decimo F nib Champagne Pink fp. I never thought in a million years that I'd want a pink fountain pen but the pink on this pen is so cool and it's a coveted color. It's tough to find and I find one or two sellers in the U.S. selling this pen for $250 and up. I paid $135.00 plus shipping and the seller through in some extras. The order also includes Con-20 which is the converter for this pen. I was going to order it separately. These are hard to come by because it's a push button refill cartridge rather then a screw top. They also hold more ink. Now i just have to match this pen with some nice ink. Can't wait for it to arrive.

14 months ago I decided not to buy any more pens. I have enough and don't need any.

Still, that's no reason not to look.

Yesterday I was looking and saw a purple Rosetta Napoleon.

I recently bought 5 new shirts, in various purple stripes. Wouldn't the Rosetta go well with those? I don't have a single purple pen. I really need one.

I'm waiting for it to ship from the States. So much for my November 2011 resolution.

I just placed an order for a TWSBI Micarta with a fine nib. I may attempt to exchange the nib with another...maybe a CI or stub. We shall see. Also waiting for the TWSBI mini, clear, with a 1.1 nib and an additional 1.5 nib.

These will join the 540 and 700 to complete the TWSBI's...

Blessings,

D

I am waiting for my custom-made bulb-filler from Shawn Newton (see the thread in the 'Turning' sub-forum). I was the incredibly lucky winner of the raffle over Xmas. :bunny01:

Ordered a Pilot Metropolitan and a few sample inks from Goulet Pen. I ordered in the afternoon and apparently they shipped it out same day. Awesome! So, I'm assuming it'll arrive tomorrow or Monday.

Launched my order for a TWSBI VAC 700 Demonstrator and a Kaweco Ice Sport. I've carried the Kaweco Roller ball in my jeans pocket for a while now so going to try one of their fountain pens. It's also going to be my first F nib as I'm a M kinda guy

On the vintage end, a no-name coin filler with an accommodation snake clip. On the modern end, a Montegrappa Espressione in blue.

Looking for an Omas Arco Verde...the one that got away.

An inexpensive pen this time...Lamy Joy 1.9.

I always get a kick out of these "no affiliation" notations when it's blatantly obvious the poster has absolutely nothing to do with the brand, company, etc. beyond being a customer. It must be a feel-good/feel-important thing. So I'll note up front that nothing I write here on this forum is influenced by any financial-gain motivation.

I am waiting for this beautiful but unknown brand of pen. Can anyone help me identify it?

WOW. Looking forward to more pictures when it arrives or even a review.

My new Bexley Corona in Blueberry Cream ships today from Nashua Pen Spa. Sure wish Richard shipped more than twice a week. Oh well, that's twice as often as last year.

Platinum Chartres Blue - I needed it as company for my other Platinums - Shoji (M), Bourgoigne (B), Brown Tortoise (Music nib) and Black (Music). I didn't even know about Platinum FP's a year ago, now....embarrassed_smile.gif

I also have a Namiki Metal Falcon in Sapphire (SM) in the same order. I love my Resin one and wanted the larger ink capacity.

Now, that's NO MORE for 6 months! rolleyes.gif

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
